Do Eyelash Extensions Damage your Natural Lashes?
The biggest myth is that lash extensions ruin your own natural eyelashes. They do not. If applied correctly and properly, they are safe and do not ruin the health of your natural lashes. Do NOT rub your eyes, tug, or pull on the extensions because this can cause lash loss and even damage to your natural lashes (temporary friction alopecia). And also, please follow the instructions provided by your lash technician.
How do you know if the Lash Extension Artist is a good one:
Take a look at their website, look at their work (before and after pics), read what their clients are saying, and check their credentials.
More often than not, there are plenty of budget/cheap lashers that are not applying in a safe and healthy manner. It's easy to think that lash extension are made the same (well most are), however, applications are NOT. And it's all in the "wrist" so to speak. Just as all artists may use the same medium, their work will come out completely different. A skilled lash technician will take the time to carefully and cleanly apply each extension securely to one natural eyelash. If there are two natural lashes stuck to one extension....then that's where the trouble begins. Our natural lashes have different growth cycles and if two are bonded together (during their different growth cycles....) one can pull out the other and this can be itchy and irritating for you.
So keep this in mind: almost anyone can purchase supplies, but not everyone has the knowledge, the no-how, and the talent to apply safe clean lash extensions.
At the end of the day....... don't be in a hurry and do your research.
You will then be able to enjoy eyelash extensions for along long time.
